Hi, my name is Glen Hasegawa and I'm excited to serve as an assistant coach for the Fenix U16 Girls team. I started playing volleyball back in Grade 7 and up through my High School years. Throughout that time I've also played club volleyball for the Dinos and Canucks here in Calgary as the setter. My love of volleyball kept me in the game playing in adult mens and co-ed leagues, where I continue to play after 20+ years.
When my daughter started playing volleyball in grade 6, I felt a joy and excitement in coaching her the things I've learned on the court. Teaching her the importance of basic volleyball mechanics, technique and hard work. Her experiences in volleyball since has grown to a passion and love for the game, and has continued developing many new skills through the help of amazing coaches.
This year I'm grateful for the opportunity from our head coach Ellen to take on the role of assistant coach, and can't wait to see what that brings!
